June 2011 - A Hundred Answers and The Empire Life Insurance Company launch the re-branded Empire Life website

June 2011 - A Hundred Answers and The Empire Life Insurance Company launch the re-branded Empire Life website.  A Hundred Answers was engaged over the summer of 2011 to deliver an easy to navigate, relevant online experience for customers and distribution partners of The Empire Life Insurance Company (Empire). As a result, the Renewed Online Presence project has replaced the current Empire general and retail advisor websites.

The selected solution that best supported Empire Life's WCMS requirements was based on Autonomy Interwoven's TeamSite, SitePublisher and OpenDeploy products.  Google Search Appliance was also used as a representative search capability, to segment indexing by site and server, restricting search results to a specific environment (Dev, QA or Prod) or other criteria to meet Empire's requirements. These provided Empire's stakeholders with an effective, positive online experience that today represents Empire's mission, vision and product offerings.

Based on the AHA Web Channel Methodology, a collaborative approach for the implementation of the Interwoven Web Content Management System was achieved through the delivery of the following services:

  • Installation & Configuration of Web Content Manager software components, HTTP (web server) with search and LDAP integration in Development, QA and Production environments;
  • Development of standard processes governing the release of development code from Development to QA to Production (including but not limited to Java, html, JavaScript, css, components, templates and workflow configuration items);
  • Development of standard templates, workflows;
  • Migration or testing of existing Java calculators; and
  • Integration with existing websites.
